CBC and VCS take information security seriously. The above acronyms are only a few of the federal laws that address data security. As such, our staff is education and monitored under the following standards:
1.) Accountability of Personal Information
We are responsible for the personal information in our possession, and have a designated Compliance Officer who is accountable for the monitoring of staff, creating policies and procedures to protect such information whether at rest or in transit.
2.) Identifying Purposes for the collection of Personal Information
We will identify the purpose for which any personal information is collected and secure such information electronically and physically.
3.) Consent for the Collection, Use or Disclosure of Personal Information
Our promise is to make every effort to ensure that all information is used appropriately, timely and within our client’s or consumer’s directive, within the law.
4.) Limiting Collection of Personal Information
We will request and collect information in fair and lawful means, and will only collect information that is necessary to fulfill our contractual duties or those mandated by law or governmental regulation.
5.) Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention of Personal Information
With exception to direct consent of the consumer, or when it is required by law, personal information will not be used by us for purposes other than why it was collected. We do not disclose information to unauthorized parties. Personal information that is no longer required or becomes useless will be securely destroyed or deleted per our written destruction policy.
6.) Accuracy of Personal Information
CBC/VCS will keep personal information as accurate, complete and up-to-date as is necessary for its identified purpose.
7.) Safeguards to Protect Personal Information
Each office has secure electronic and physical safeguards in place to protect personal information from loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copy or use.
8.) Transparency on Personal Information Policies and Practices
We will provide inquiring clients with the name and contact information of our Compliance Officer, as well as specific information about its policies and procedures relating to management of personal information.
9.) Individual Access to Personal Information
Upon request by an authorized individual, we will verify the existence, use or disclosure of personal information under our care. Authorized individuals will be given access to their personal information, except in circumstances where disclosure of such information is not allowed. Also, an individual can challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information, and have it amended or updated if they can verify the accuracy of those changes.

CBC, Inc and VCS, Inc differentiates between our prospective clients and website visitors who are here to pay a debt or submit a job application. All references to consumer information are specific to visitors self-identifying as prospective clients. Our website never stores personal information from consumers, and job applications are managed separately from our client and consumer communications.
